Here’s the thing, I love the holidays and Christmas, Thanksgiving, all of the possible holidays in between. For me, they’re perfect excuses.

The excuse to play games with my kids.

The excuse to make gingerbread houses and eat too much candy.

The excuse to see people I only see once a year.

But my favorite excuse of all is to capture images I get to keep and treasure all year long. To me, this is the best gift of all. Because I know the next time this season rolls around again, we will all be a year older, and every year brings unexpected gifts – and sorrows.
