There’s something magical about capturing the energy and excitement of a dance recital. I first connected with Releve when my daughter decided it was time to branch into a dance class.
It was important to me to find a space that was low pressure, but professional and still challenging. That’s when I found Relevé Performing Arts Center in Hendersonville, NC. I cannot express enough the family-friendly feel, support, and encouragement every member of staff gives each student.
And this season, I had the honor of photographing their extremely talented students. Their annual recital showcased not only their incredible technical training (can you say, “wow”?), but also the creativity, dedication, and joy that make Relevé such a special part of the Hendersonville and Asheville dance community.
I would have to say my favorite (out of many) performance’s was their dance interpretation of Troy. Again, “wow” doesn’t quite cut it!

Not to mention, the tiny preschool hip hop dancers. Heart melted.
